The exchange between Europe and the Asia-Pacific region is evolving rapidly in the dawn of the 21th century. Markets are merging, science and research are internationalizing, and understanding between cultures is of increasing importance. The Asia-Pacific Forum Berlin (APFB) is the Berlin platform for committed members and partners from the political, business, science and cultural sectors to promote communication and collaboration with the Asia-Pacific region. They expand their own opportunities by sharing their expertise. Thereby, they contribute to the success of the APFB and profit from its exceptional network.
The APFB holds the office of the Asia-Pacific Week Berlin (APW), the largest series of events related to Asia-Pacific in Germany. As part of the APW the APFB has organized the Embassy Day Asia-Pacific since 2013, an excellent opportunity for personal networking with the Asian embassies that present their own countries in business seminars and cultural performances. The APFB also coordinates the diverse APW cultural program.
As part of the Debating Asia series, the APFB hosts panel discussions on current issues around politics, business and culture. The APFB cooperates with specialized partner institutions on the respective topics. Debating Asia aims at controversial debate and lasting exchange.
The new event format InsightAsiaBerlin offers excursions to Asian companies and institutions in the metropolitan area of Berlin. Participants will receive an exclusive and practical insight into cooperation between Europe and Asia, learn from the experiences in intercultural management, the opportunities and challenges for Asian companies in the European market and they will establish contacts with their representatives.
